This program is for adults; supplies are limited and registration is required via our online calendar or by calling the library at 508-647-6520.
Immersive cultural storytelling + culinary experience with Spanish Fun Program!
The program starts with the Parachute and the rhythm of the Latin Music. Cooking and conversation are wonderful ways to recall cherished memories. On the Night of the Little Candles, Colombia glows—but why? In this bilingual tale, we’ll follow the flicker of thousands of candles as they light up the night. But what secret does this luminous celebration hold? We’ll uncover the deeper meaning behind this enchanting tradition—a night of unity, hope, and something more.
Then, we’ll dive straight into making delicious, golden Tostones Colombianos from scratch, commonly known as Patacones, fried green plantain slices that are crunchy on the outside and soft inside. It’s a perfect mix of tradition, hands-on fun, and mouthwatering flavor!
