Join Ohio Arts Council Teaching Artist and 2023 Poet of the Year, Rikki Santer for an evening of
poetry and journaling, designed to encourage quiet reflection, to notice the wonders of nature, and to write from the heart. Nature can be one of our greatest sources of inspiration for it serves as a mirror to the human experience as well as a window into the world around us. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal, pen or pencil, and a portable chair for sitting outside. A limited number of journals and chairs will be available.
Rikki Santer has received many honors for her work including several Pushcart, Ohioana and Ohio Poet book award nominations as well as a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities. She has served as 2026 artist-in-residence of the Fran Ryan Center in Columbus, Ohio and is a former vice president of the Ohio Poetry Association. Her poetry collection, Resurrection Letter was grand prize short-listed for the Eric Hoffer Book Award and Shepherd’s Hour won the Paul Nemser Book Prize from Lily Poetry Review Books. Her fifteenth poetry collection, Could Be, was published this spring by Sheila-Na-Gig Press. Please contact her through her website, https://rikkisanter.com.
Meet at the Spring Hollow Lodge at 1069 W. Main St. DO NOT go to the entrance off of Cleveland Ave.
