Join us for Archaeology of Phoenix, a Foothills Speaker Series talk with Dr. Chris Schwartz, City Archaeologist for the City of Phoenix. Long before the city's founding, ancestral O'odham communities built hundreds of miles of canals across this Valley, farming the desert and shaping the land we live on today. Dr. Schwartz will share what recent discoveries reveal about daily life, trade, and community in the ancient Valley, and how that history still connects to O'odham communities today.
