Savor the flavors! 🌶️ Join us Friday, September 5th, at 5:30 pm for a special Hispanic Heritage Month FoodRx led by Chef Cassie Powers! We’ll be exploring healthy, plant-forward recipes inspired by the vibrant food traditions of Central and South America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Spain. Come create a flavorful, healthy meal that honors these rich culinary traditions.
MENU:
-Venezuelan Arepas (and filling options)
-Grilled Portobello Mushrooms, Argentinian Chimichurri
-Vegan Peruvian Ceviche
-Costa Rican Gallo Pinto
-Torta de Santiago (Spanish Almond Cake)

Our FoodRx healthy cooking classes bring 20 dinner guests together to enjoy a hands-on, healthy cooking workshop with nutritional insights and health statistics from local physicians, nurses, dietitians and professional chefs. FoodRx events share the positive impact culinary medicine and evidence-based nutrition have on health and disease prevention. After a brief presentation, class participants divide into groups to prepare the dishes before gathering for the communal meal.
