Would you like to become a Museum Foodie? Our Foodie Group meet monthly to discuss, cook and eat food inspired by stories from our collection, artists and events we programme, as well as our own members heritage’s and backgrounds. Our workshops are informal, chatty and a chance to meet new people, as well as learn about new recipes and cooking traditions.
This month we’ll be keeping the winter chill at bay by looking at the important role soups play in Jewish life and exploring their significance in cultures around the world. We’ll also be learning about the story of the Manchester Jewish Soup Kitchen.
Come and learn how to make kneidel (matzah dumplings), Krupnik (a mushroom and barley soup), Melokheya (an Egyptian green leaf soup) and Messer Wot (Ethiopian red lentil soup).
Join us to get creative and cook something new together!
