Foodie Group: Seasonal Summer Food!

Would you like to become a Museum Foodie?
Our Foodie Group meet monthly to discuss, cook and eat food inspired by stories from our collection, artists and events we programme, as well as our own members heritage’s and backgrounds. Our workshops are informal, chatty and a chance to meet new people, as well as learn about new recipes and cooking traditions.
This month we will be celebrating the longest day of the year and the abundance of seasonal summer produce available here at this time of year.
We’ll be looking at the significance of the Solstice in cultures around the world and what this time of the year, with the absence of any major religious festivals, means in the Jewish world. We will be making a herby cherry tomato gazpacho, a salty, zingy and refreshing watermelon and cheese salad and a simple summer fruit fool desert.
So come and join us to get creative & cook something new together!

This activity is designed for anyone aged 18 or over.
Please note we use all vegetarian approved ingredients but the food is not ‘Beth Din’ supervised. If you have any allergies or would like more information on our Foodie Group please email Joe at [email protected]
