Tackling Food Waste – A Circular Economy Approach

In Hong Kong, food waste makes up 30% of municipal solid waste, with over 3,300 tonnes sent to landfills daily, contributing to methane emissions. Reducing food waste isn’t just ethical- it’s a business opportunity. Cutting waste can lower costs, increase efficiency, and drive kitchen innovation.

Businesses must act now as public awareness grows. At this month’s meetup, we’ll explore how behavioural change can cut food waste, from boosting customer awareness to smarter interventions. You’ll learn simple, effective tactics, including a behavioural framework for impactful action.

Guest speakers Tiffana from Hung Yat Farm and Marsha Gau will share insights on sustainability, local farms, and tackling food waste. We will hear a case study about Maxim's, one of Hong Kong's largest food conglomerates.

A big thank you to Link REIT for generously hosting this month’s meetup at their Sustainability Lab! We're excited to gather in such an inspiring space.

Join us to discover practical solutions for reducing food waste in your organisation!

Due to location restrictions we’ll get coffee after the event!
