Food Stories is a community project designed to bring people together through the shared love of food.
It’s an opportunity to engage with your local community, explore the beautiful landscape of Meanwood, and deepen your connection to Meanwood community centre.
And it is FREE to attend.
Through interactive workshops, zine-making, and discussions, participants can reflect on the benefits of building relationships through food and discover how these connections can enrich their lives.
Whether you’re new to the area or a longtime resident, Food Stories offers a welcoming space to meet new people, share experiences, and celebrate the power of food in fostering community.
Free to attend and everyone is welcome!
Where? Meanwood Community Centre When? Fridays 10 AM - 12 PM
Dates: 14th, 21st, 28th February and 7th March!
Expect a warm welcome with tea, coffee, and snacks, engaging conversations, fun activities, and a free community meal at the final session.

Who are zest?
Zest is a Leeds-based charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged communities by promoting healthy and happy lifestyles. They offer people-led projects that connect residents, focusing on hope and happiness.
Their inclusive activities reach around 1,500 people each year, bringing communities together, helping to improve lives, and fighting inequalities in Leeds.
Zest's initiatives address health inequalities and social isolation, working alongside residents to provide support and opportunities that foster community engagement and well-being.
