About this Event

The Los Ranchos Agri-Nature Center has partnered with Three sisters Kitchen, a local 501c3 non-profit specialized in food preparation training for businesses, to teach ten workshops on food preservation and preparation techniques. There will be two workshops repeated for each technique, featuring foundations on manufacturing techniques along with a hands-on recipe. All workshops will utilize fruits, vegetables and herbs grown on the farm at the Agri-Nature Center.

Fermentation lab

  • Thursday, June 25, 6-8pm
  • Saturday, June 27, 2-4pm

Dehydration lab

  • Wednesday, July 8, 6-8pm
  • Wednesday, July 15, 6-8pm

Canning lab

  • Saturday, 8/15, 2-4pm
  • Wednesday, 8/19, 6-8pm

Baking lab

  • Saturday, September 12, 2-4pm
  • Wednesday, September 16, 6-8pm

All workshops were funded through the USDA Specialty Crop Grant Program, which funded the development of our demonstration kitchen along with educational programming using our produce.
