About your Instructor:
Atava Garcia Swiecicki is a clinical herbalist, medicine maker, dreamworker, teacher and author. She received her undergraduate degree at Stanford and her master’s degree from Naropa University Oakland. Atava has been studying herbal medicine, curanderismo and holistic healing for over thirty-five years. She loves helping people build relationships with plants, whom she considers some of our greatest teachers and healers. Atava is the founder of the Ancestral Apothecary School in Oakland, California and is the author of She moved to New Mexico from the Bay Area in 2020 and feels blessed to have made Los Ranchos her home for the past five years.
