About this Event

Interested in preserving the harvest but not sure where to start? Join us for an introduction to home food preservation, with a hands-on focus on water bath canning. Participants will learn the fundamentals of safe canning practices and work together to process tomatoes from start to finish.

We'll also explore the basics of dehydrating and pressure canning, including when each method is appropriate, the equipment involved, and key food safety considerations. Whether you're new to food preservation or looking to refresh your skills, this workshop will provide a practical overview of the most common methods for safely storing seasonal foods.
