Food Face Art! (Italian-American Heritage Month) (Kids of All Ages)
About this Event
Food Face Art! (Kids of All Ages)
This Italian-American Heritage Month, we're taking it wayyyyy back to the Renaissance in Italy! Here, our inspiration is Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo, who painted a series of portraits in which he created people's faces from objects like fruits, veggies, flowers, and books. Drawing on Arcimboldo's work, we're going to unleash our inner artists and create TWO food face art projects from paper, foam, and stickers!
In this kit, you will receive:
- Two face templates
- Construction paper
- An assortment of colorful vinyl and foam fruit + veggie stickers
- Directions
- Background info on Giuseppe Arcimboldo
- Fruit / veggie sticker scene
Crafts can be picked up on THURSDAY, October 1st from 2 PM to 6 PM. Curbside is available.
Need to pick up later? We will hold your crafts from Thursday evening until Friday at 5 pm (no later) AS LONG AS YOU CONTACT US IN ADVANCE.
Reminder: All patrons are required to comply with the library's policy against bullying, harassment and lewd behavior. Patrons who engage in abusive behavior will forfeit, at least temporarily, their right to request craft kits. Please remember to be kind.
