Join us for a welcoming evening at the Puyallup Food Bank as we host a Food Dehydration course; taught by a WSU-trained Master Food Preserver.
You will learn how to prepare your food to achieve the best results of dehydrating your food. This is a great way to preserve your harvest, farmer's market purchases, or produce received from PFB for your pantry. This class will help you use one of the oldest food preservation methods. We'll discuss methods of drying, selecting the correct dehydrator for your use, and proper storage once your product is dehydrated.
This class is open to all community members, including Puyallup Food Bank clients and volunteers. No prior experience is needed.
