Food Camp!

All of Rural Action’s Day Camps focus on nature immersion, exploration, and fun in the outdoors! Food Camp--a new camp for 2026--focuses on celebrating local food systems, with trips to farms, visits to production facilities, and lots of time cooking (and eating!). We'll add more info about specific visits soon.

Food camp will be based at Rural Action's headquarters in The Plains with frequent trips. Drop off is 8:45-9:00 a.m. and pick up is 4-4:15 p.m. Campers will need to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a change of clothes, rubber boots if they have them, and comfortable walking shoes.
