Join us for a night of sea shanties and Celtic neo-trad with The Salty Sirens and Amaidí.Are you ready to dance? Amaidí is here to shake the walls with absolutely pumping tunes. Rooted in the rich traditions of Irish, Scottish, and Australian music, this three-piece band pushes the boundaries of neo-trad with electrifying energy, driving rhythms, and bold contemporary twists.
From blistering reels and powerhouse songs to slow-burning ballads that stop time, Amaidí brings a sound that grabs you and does not let go. Whether you’re on your feet having the time of your life or sitting back and soaking it in, this is music that moves you, one way or another.
Lovers of swell sea shanties and rollicking singalongs, The Salty Sirens are Kristy "Capstan"field (vocals and accordion) and Elyse "Fish"patrick (vocals and whale facts). Since 2021, they have been rocking boats the country wide with their flavour of sea shanties, SHE shanties and sea songs with a modern, queer twist, and now these sapphic sailors are sailing into Ipswich to lead you on a musical journey through traditional and modern nautical folk song, tales of shipwork, daring adventure, defiance and debauchery on the high seas.
Hoist the anchor and limber up those sealegs - these really aren't your grandpa's sea shanties!
Doors at 7pm. The Sirens take the stage at 7.45pm.
Tickets are $15/20 presale or $20/25 on the day.
