Argentine Folk Dance Series (Beyond Tango)Explore the rich regional folk dances of Argentina—beyond tango (tango is not included in this series). Each session highlights one or two traditional styles and builds skills step by step, with attention to rhythm, musicality, and cultural context.
Dances may include carnavalito, malambo, chacarera, zamba, and chamamé. You’ll learn basic footwork, rhythms, formations, and pañuelo (handkerchief) work in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.
No experience needed. No partner needed.

Instructor
Paulino Brener
Paulino is an Argentine-born educator and community arts organizer based in Minneapolis. He teaches Argentine folk dances with a focus on musicality, clarity, and accessible instruction. Paulino has taught at Tapestry Folk Dance Center’s International Folk Dance nights and leads community workshops that connect movement, music, and story. His classes offer inclusive pacing and plenty of practice time.
