Folk Crafts: Decorate your Papier-Mâché Mask!

Let’s decorate our Paper mâché masks for the parade!

It’s time to add colour, flair and brilliance to our pre-sculpted masks! At this second workshop for adults, we’ll embellish our creations so they’re fit for storytelling at the Speak Volumes Festival Parade.

This free session is the second of two workshops: please note the dates below. If you can only make one, we will do our best to work with you!

17th April – Papier Mache, shaping and bases

24th April – Mask Decoration and Embellishment

No experience needed — just a willingness to get a little messy and a lot imaginative.

💡Join the parade! It's time to decoupage, texture and paint our pre-shaped masks. No experience needed.

After crafting your mask, you’ll be invited to step into character and join the Parade in costume (taking place 30th May), wearing the masterpiece you’ve made together. Shape it. Paint it. Wear it. Become it.
