Join the Flying Yankee Association on Saturday, June 28, 2026, for a special one-time fundraising excursion aboard the historic Conway Scenic Railroad. This unique event directly supports the FYA’s ongoing mission to restore and preserve the legendary 1935 Flying Yankee streamlined train for future generations.Boarding begins at North Conway Station at 8:15am, with departure scheduled for 8:30am. The excursion will first travel south to Conway, where guests will have the opportunity to view the historic Flying Yankee train. Passengers will then reboard for a scenic journey northwest to Sawyer River before returning to North Conway at approximately 1:45pm.
Funds raised from this excursion will help advance the Flying Yankee Association’s restoration and preservation efforts, including continued mechanical restoration work and plans for a future restoration and display facility in Conway. Every ticket purchased helps support the long-term goal of returning this iconic piece of New England railroad history to operation, and can once again inspire and educate the public.
The CSRR currently plans to use historic diesel locomotives for this special excursion, if available.
