The FLYING PICKETS are having a party that’s been 40 years in the making and everyone’s invited! Their new ‘40th ANNIVERSARY TOUR’ is an electrifying celebration of the ‘Best Of’ their first four decades of high-octane acappella music.
It was 1983 when their massive worldwide hit ‘Only You’ became the first acappella song to ever hit Number One, and the FLYING PICKETS have remained the best known acappella group in Europe ever since.
Forget your prejudices, the FLYING PICKETS are no choirboys- their new live show is a unique, world-class experience! They create a dynamic, ever-changing sound, sometimes bombastic rock ‘n’ roll, sometimes slick pop, next soulful or funky, and then suddenly gentle and intimate….
With their amazing voices, a wink, and a rich dusting of Very British humour, they look back to some rarely-heard classic songs from their early days, and also pack in a ton of fan favourites from the 1980’s and 90’s like ‘Englishman in New York’, and ‘Call Me Al’; all the way through to their latest album ‘Only Human’ with tracks such as ‘Love Runs Out’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’… until they finally sign off with the song that started the party in the first place, ‘Only You’.
