About this Event
Your flight instructor is Roger, an enthusiastic flyboy who's ready to show you the ropes. While you won't take to the sky during this lesson, you will learn about the aviation manufacturing that took place right in Ithaca during World War One. You'll be up-close and personal with Tommy, a Thomas Morse s4-B Scout Plane on loan from the Ithaca Aviation Heritage Foundation.
Your ticken includes admission to the History Center in Tompkins County in addition to the 15 minute presentation. While you're here, check out our current exhibit "A Sporting Chance: Sporting History on and Off the Field."
With the "Take Home Tommy" package, kids, and the young at heart, will recieve model planes and activity booklets to take home.
