Minnow Patterns That Move Fish
If you want to tie flies that don’t just look good in the box—but get crushed on the water, this is the session to attend.
On Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, we’re focusing on two proven baitfish imitations that consistently produce strikes when fish turn aggressive in the spring.
This isn’t just another tying night. This is about building flies with purpose.
Featuring:
Sparkle Minnow
A sleek, flash-enhanced streamer that imitates vulnerable forage. It’s balanced, versatile, and designed to trigger reaction strikes from bass and other predators. When fish are feeding on minnows, this fly demands attention.
Craft Fur Baitfish
A modern streamer built for movement, profile, and versatility. Craft fur creates a lifelike baitfish silhouette that breathes and pulses in the water, even with minimal retrieve. It sheds water well, casts easily, and gives tiers a highly effective pattern for imitating small forage fish in a wide range of colors and sizes.
Why This Forum Matters
Spring patterns shift. Fish begin targeting larger forage. If you only tie nymphs and dry flies, you’re limiting your opportunities.
In this session you’ll learn:
How to build clean, balanced streamer profiles
How to control flash for realism—not excess
How to work with craft fur to create movement and taper
How to tie flies that are durable and fish-ready
You’ll walk away with two fish-catching streamers and the technical skills to replicate them.
What You Can Expect
Clear, step-by-step instruction
Beginner-friendly guidance
A structured, supportive environment
Tools and materials available if you need them
A community of tiers serious about improving
