🦋 A More Sensory-Considerate Experience

Flutter Club is working closely with Yankee Trails to offer a modified version of Santa’s Magical Express designed to be more sensory-considerate and welcoming for children and families with varying sensory needs.

For our Flutter Club event, planned modifications include no smoke machine, reduced or eliminated strong flashing lights, and more flexibility for children to move around once inside Santa’s Workshop.

We are continuing to work with Yankee Trails to determine what additional modifications can safely be made while preserving the magic and interactive nature of the experience. Additional sensory details will be shared with registered families as they are finalized so parents and caregivers can prepare their children for the evening.

Please keep in mind that this is still an interactive theatrical holiday experience and may include music, performers, holiday lights, periods of darkness (dim/no lights), excitement, loud music/noises, and periods of waiting.

For the safety of all passengers, every guest must remain seated while the motorcoach and trolley are in motion. There are no exceptions to this safety requirement. Children will have opportunities for more freedom of movement once inside Santa’s Workshop.

Guests will be transported by trolley to Santa’s Workshop and by motorcoach bus around East Greenbush/Rensselaer, which involves waiting, boarding, riding while seated, and exiting the trolley. We want parents and caregivers to be aware of these transitions and waiting periods when determining whether the experience will be a good fit for their child.

Our goal is to make thoughtful modifications so more children and families can comfortably participate in and enjoy the magic of Santa’s Magical Express. 🎄🦋
