THE HAUNTED HISTORY OF CASTLEWOOD

Built between 1816 and 1820 by Parke Poindexter, Castlewood is one of Chesterfield's oldest and most architecturally unique homes. Over the years, it has served as a private residence, a Methodist parsonage, a bank, and now the headquarters for the Chesterfield Historical Society. But, beneath its elegant Federal-style facade lies a much darker story-one that spans over two hundred years. From disembodied voices to unexplained footsteps and cold spots that appear without any warning, Castlewood's long and layered past may have left more behind than just antiques......
