Flowstate 5: REJECTS - A Community Art Show

"REJECTS" is a celebration of fringe artists, oddities, outsider art, and raw expression that branches beyond the mainstream.
Led by Alexandra Sosin of Wild Eyed Beholder and hosted by Collect & Gather, you are invited to attend the fifth show of the ever-changing and expanding Flowstate Art Collective!
WHEN: June 27th from 5pm-9pm
WHERE: Artist&Fare (1800 Plover Rd., Plover, WI)
CALL FOR ART:
Applications are open until May 11th for the following projects:
Rejected Art Show: A gallery-style exhibit featuring art rejected from shows, art rejected by artists themselves, and unfinished or abandoned work.
Vendors: Vendors will be throughout Artist&Fare. All vendors MUST fit the theme of the show, including Outsider art, Fringe artists, Trash art, Punk artists, and others mentioned in our application. There is a $25 vendor fee that will support the show and an artists-helping-artists mutual aid fund.
Poetry Wall Installation: We are creating an immersive poetry exhibit with new age artists involving a projection of poetry on walls combined with digital effects and glitch art. These exhibits will be used as possible backgrounds for musical acts or performances, but will also have moments of stand-alone viewing. Poets are encouraged to submit poetry that fits the following themes: Healing from rejection, shame, and unbelonging, friendship, community and community resilience. We are open to other themes as long as they're in the same wheelhouse. Shoot your shot, the worst that we will say is no!
Music: We are looking for musicians to play 30-45 minute sets. Focusing on unusual instruments, strange and ethereal sounds, and punk genres. PLEASE NOTE: we have to be respectful of noise affecting neighboring businesses. If you struggle with volume control, please be transparent about that. Being respectful protects the art community and allows us to keep throwing events with our respective venues. Vendors and artists will also be involved in conversation, so music will be added as an accent to the event vs. a headliner. We love you, rock on.
Volunteers: Flowstate Art Collective is a volunteer based unofficial organization that operates much like a "club." Anyone who would like to volunteer their time to help plan, set up, help monitor the different parts of the show day-of, share equipment or skills can apply to do so. There is almost always something we can use help with, and we love working as a team.
To Apply: Fill out the Google Form completely by May 11th. Alexandra Sosin of Wild Eyed Beholder is the only official contact for this event. No fee is required to apply. Please be cautious of internet scams and impersonators, and reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
