Flowing through Winter - A Choreography by Kalayla

Class Structure: We will start with a stretch to get loose. Learn moves and combo them. Ending with a stretching. Class 1-2 will be learning belly dance moves. Class 2-10, will be choreography and rehearsals.

Attire:

Shoes: Socks are recommended because we practice on carpet. Foot coverings are NOT necessary but can be helpful for dancers. Dance paws, lyrical shoes, ballet shoes or equivalent.

Hip scarves: I have plenty to borrow but you can purchase them online. Hip scarves better help you see the movements of your hips and to hear if parts of your body are moving that shouldn’t be.

Tight fitting shirts: It is not required to show your belly, but I do recommend wearing tight fitting shirts so that you can see the movements of your hips and belly.

Dance pants, yoga pants or equivalent: No jeans please. You want to be comfortable and able to see what your hips are doing.

Show requirements: Though it is not manditory to perform, you are welcome to learn a new choerography! Please let Kalayla know what your comfort levels are when it comes to public shows. Each choerography built by Kalayla is unique and usually has audiance partisipation and a little bit of improvisation. Knowing the exact number of dancers is nessesary to make a beautiful choerography flow well in a performance.
