Join us for a short ride through North Winton Village, Beechwood & Irondequoit. Then we'll have some ice cream in Reconnect Rochester's Hungerford Office before they move downtown in a couple weeks.This ride series sponsored by the City's Rec Dept is a great way for residents to get acquainted with the growing bike network and investments the City is making. Special emphasis is put on the residential bike boulevards.
Over the course of the summer, the rides show how **every neighborhood is bikeable** and how it's possible to get to any neighborhood in the city via low-stress bikeways.
Each ride is ~7 miles and leaves promptly at 7pm on Wednesdays. Please arrive early to sign waiver & pump up tires. If you arrive at 7pm or later, you'll miss us.
Pace is not-fast, but reasonable & steady. Participants must have control of their bike and keep up. Ride is intermediate in nature in that we're navigating traffic together without a police escort.
Every participant signs a waiver acknowledging they know how to ride a bike, they're physically capable of a ride of this nature, and they assume all risks of riding on public roads.
