FLOTSAM! is a troupe of musicians, circus performers, and puppeteers traveling on a handmade ramshackle raft, giving free performances in towns along the way.
During our tours, the raft is our mode of transit, our home, and our stage. Since 2019 we have performed for tens of thousands of people across eight states and over a thousand miles of river. In 2023 we did our biggest tour to date with six weeks on the Mississippi River from the Twin Cities to St. Louis.
For the summer of 2024 we are planning to travel along the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati, Louisville, and beyond! Eventually we hope to bring our floating circus to rivers in Europe and all over the world.
