Come together with fellow water enthusiasts to celebrate our progress and show your support for the future of the Gunpowder River. Whether by kayak, paddleboard, or boat, let’s make a statement for clean water and healthy ecosystems!
Bring your own gear: kayak, paddleboard, or boat.
9:00 am - Mad About Mud volunteer team sets up pavilion at Mariner Point Park
10 am - Boats/kayaks leave from Mariner Point Park and other points along the river.
10:30 am - Meet on the river at the Amtrak bridge boat passage.
10:45 am - Meet on the river at the Point dock (by the big buoy) for a short update on the state of our river and where we hope it goes.
11:15 am - Return to Mariner Park for refreshments.
Land Participants: There’s a great overlook with a roof where Fosters Branch meets the Gunpowder, perfect for those joining us from shore.
Volunteers will be on-site (both on land and water) to help direct participants
