Get outdoors this summer and spend 3 days exploring three unique Florida ecosystems!
About this Event

The Florida Youth Naturalist Program (FYNP) is a new program for young nature enthusiasts interested in learning more about Florida’s environment. Inspired by the Florida Master Naturalist program, this youth program takes kids aged 10 to 13 on a journey through Florida’s ecosystems, from the uplands, through freshwater, and to the coast.

We will be exploring Florida's wide variety of ecosystems through hands-on activities. This camp is perfect for kids who enjoy being outdoors and are interested in learning about our local ecosystems.

Camp activites include:

  • Guided nature walks through trails
  • Bird watching tours
  • Seining in the Indian River Lagoon
  • Nature-based games, crafts, and activities

If you are 10-13 years old and are located in Brevard, join us for a three day adventure with hands-on activities to learn about three of Florida's unique ecosystems.

Camp will run at these times and will be located as follows:

03/22/2027 (Monday): 9AM-4PM, at Enchanted Forest Sanctuary

03/23/2027 (Tuesday): 9AM-4PM, at Riverwalk Nature Center

03/24/2027 (Wednesday): 9AM-4PM, at Sam's House at Pine Island

Drop-off and pick-up will be at the listed times and locations.

After registering, a follow up email will be sent closer to the event dates with further information regarding meeting locations, dress code, etc.

Youth must be ages 10-13 to participate.

Space is limited to 16 youth. A waitlist will be available.

No refunds will be issued 7 days prior to the class.

NOTE: Classes and events may be canceled at any time due to low registration or other circumstances, with full refunds issued for paid events. Similar classes or events often are offered on future dates.
