Florida Wet Plate Day 2025

Join us for Florida Wet Plate Day 2025 ! Whether you're an experienced wet plate photographer, new to the process, or just an interested bystander, this meetup is for you. If you have a portable wet plate kit bring it along and we can make some plates, chat about the process and catch up for a day. Feel free to bring camera equipment as well.

This year we're starting early in the year as a redo for last year's event which unfortunately had to be postponed. Aaron Van, a commercial photographer in Orlando, was kind enough to offer the use of his studio for the day. We'll have a dark area for processing plates, a couple of strobe setups (I will be dragging out the 11x14 camera, 105 head and a nice handful of 4803 packs), and plenty of space out in the parking lot for anyone who wants to shoot with natural light.

Aim to meet up at 10:00AM at the studio and wrap up by 4:00PM.
