On this night, sound will grow like roots breaking through earth—untamed, unrepeatable, alive. Floating Roots is not a concert in the traditional sense; it is a sonic journey born in real time, where no melody, rhythm, or structure exists before the first breath of sound. Every note is created on the spot, every silence carries weight, and every gesture becomes part of a collective story unfolding only once, never again.

Produced and led by Theodoros Tsinias, this event brings together an exceptional group of fearless musicians:

Together, they weave threads between two worlds: the deep, ancestral echoes of Greek tradition and the restless pulse of New York’s avant-garde. Clarinet and zurna summon raw, earthy colors of folk memory; guitar and bass carve shifting landscapes of texture and resonance; percussion and winds ignite dialogues that blur the lines between ritual and experiment.

Floating Roots is more than a performance—it is an exploration of connection, where music is not played but discovered, sculpted out of the air and carried by the energy of the moment. The audience is not a passive witness, but a vital presence that shapes the direction of the soundscape.
