Candlelit Multi-instrumental Sound Bath at Cloudzen, MargateAn Evening of Rest & Renewal
Join us on Thursday 23rd October at 7pm for a deeply restorative candlelit sound bath at Cloudzen. As the evenings start to draw in, this session invites you to slow down, get cosy, and sink into stillness.
Guided by Eleanor, a multi-disciplinary holistic healing practitioner, the sound bath will weave together the therapeutic frequencies of 432hz crystal quartz bowls, a gong, shruti, framed drums, chimes, tuning forks, and other meditative instruments to gently soothe the body and calm the mind.
Eleanor draws on a diverse background in Ayurveda, Breathwork, sound, energy and colour therapy. She has trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and Ayurveda Institute UK. In the field of sound, Eleanor has trained with Sound Healing Bali, and with the world-leading Tama-Do Academy, founded by Fabien Maman, a pioneer in sound and vibrational therapy.
What is a sound bath and what are the benefits?
This multi-instrumental sound bath is a relaxing and therapeutic practice using acoustic instruments to induce a deeply relaxed meditative state. A growing body of clinical research and controlled studies highlight the power of music and sound vibrations in mood enhancement, improved relaxation, better sleep, and relief from depression and anxiety. There’s also evidence that music therapy can be effective for healing, as it encourages relaxation and brings your body into a parasympathetic state. In this state, your body produces nitric oxide, which opens blood vessels, increases your cells’ efficiency, and regulates blood pressure – all things that will aid a healing response.
What do you need to bring?
Mats, blankets, bolsters and eye pillows are provided, but you’re very welcome to bring anything that will create extra comfort and cosiness. I always suggest to wear thick socks & layer up on clothing, it’s much better to have too many layers rather than not enough, your body temperature will drop within the hour of lying down.
I encourage all attendees not to eat 2 hours before the session, but if necessary - keep it light. And if possible refrain from any stimulants or intoxicants on the day including coffee & alcohol.
No experience is needed - this session is open to all.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for the event to set into the space and get comfortable. Doors will close promptly at 7pm.
Parking is extremely limited at this location so if driving please allow additional time for parking.
