Who's ready for a classic Texas summer adventure?
Join us for a relaxing float down the crystal-clear, spring-fed San Marcos River! This is a fun, family-friendly float with a gentle current, beautiful scenery, and water that's a refreshing 72° year-round.
📍 Meet: Lions Club Tube Rental
🕤 Arrive: 9:30 AM
🛟 Tubes available at 10:00 AM (when they open)
We'll launch from the Lions Club and float down to Rio Vista Park - a short, easy float that takes about **30–45 minutes**.
If everyone is having a good time (and I have a feeling we will!), we may shuttle up and do the float again.
We may go to Kerby Lane or Ivars for a little snackin after.
Bring:
✔️ Swimsuit
✔️ Water shoes (highly recommended)
✔️ Sunscreen
✔️ Water (they do not allow disposable containers)
✔️ Towel
✔️ Waterproof phone case or dry bag if you have one
✔️ Cash/card for tube rental and shuttle (if applicable)
A few things to know:
🌿 This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly float.
🌿 The river is spring-fed, so the water stays cool even on the hottest summer days.
🌿 Kids are welcome! As always, parents are responsible for supervising their children and choosing what's appropriate for their comfort and swimming ability.
🌿 Life jackets are encouraged, especially for younger children or anyone who would feel more comfortable wearing one.
Come cool off, enjoy the river, and spend a fun summer morning with other adventurous families!
