Who We're Looking For:
-New Skaters: Whether you're a seasoned skater or just starting, we welcome all skill levels!
-Transfer Skaters: Joining us from another league? Bring your expertise and enthusiasm to our team.
-Officials: If you're passionate about the game but prefer a whistle to the contact, we want you on our officiating crew. We are looking for skating and non-skating officials
-Coaches: Experienced or new coaches who can help lead our team to even greater heights.
What to expect...
-During this five-week league tryout process we will be discussing the FRD training program in-depth. Our training program closely follows the WFTDA’s training curriculum, which you will become very familiar with if you are not already. You will also participate in a trainer-led HIIT style workout and get the opportunity to watch our practices to get a good feel for our league’s culture.
When are tryouts?
-Tryouts will be a series of 5 sessions. They will take place on Mondays from 6:45-8:00 pm at Rollhaven Skating Center
-Those trying out are expected to attend all 5 sessions.
What costs are involved?
-$50 non-refundable tryout fee (cash or check) due on Monday, January 13.
I am a transfer skater. Can I still skate with my League during tryouts?
-Yes, you can continue to fully participate with your league until your transfer is official. After the one-on-one discussion you will receive an invite to join our league. At this discussion, we will talk about what tier you will be starting at. Your transfer is official after you sign league paperwork at your first league practice. At that time, you must have officially resigned from your current league.
I am planning on joining the league as a coach, Non-Skating Official (NSO) or a referee. Do I need to attend the workout sessions?
-If you plan on skating (skater or referee) the workouts are required. If you plan on being a coach or NSO the workouts are not required.
