Fort Lewis College Cycling Team presents the 4th annual CAMPUS CHAMPSDurango, Colorado. Fort Lewis Cycling's Coaches and Athletes will present Campus Champs, taking place on the lawn around the Fort Lewis College Clocktower on Thursday Sept 4th from 5-8pm, featuring several waves of live announced bike races, Tracklocross at 6, a FLC Cycling team race and then the main event, The Campus Champs race at 7pm. And to finish it off, the radical Downhill TT. Entertainment by DJ Space Bunny and free refreshments from Zuberfizz and Skagua for all.
FLC Cycling is proud to bring the Campus Champs to the Fort Lewis College campus community for the 4th time after years of dreaming of the event. Campus Champs will showcase cycling to the campus community with social cycling events that are intended to be FUN and inclusive. Campus Champs will also crown the male and female champions of campus, from the open campus races featuring anyone not on the FLC Cycling Team. The Campus Champs will wrap up with Club races in both the Endurance and Gravity disciplines. The Campus Champs course will be 3-5min long per lap closed in course, filled with twists and turns around obstacles, on and off grass and paved paths. The Gravity course will be a one way track on the outside of the Endurance lap and will be used to time riders individually down the course. Gravity race is open to bikes of 140mm travel or more, or an enduro bike or bigger.
Campus Champs is Free for all FLC staff and students and those interested in racing should show up with a properly fitting helmet and working bike and your best racing outfit. The schedule is as follows. Course will open at 5pm for fun laps and racer prerides, then 530pm is the Tracklocross showcase race,6 is the FLC team race open to all FLC team members, 630 is the Campus Champs, open to any person not on the cycling team then 7 is the DH qualifiers and finals. For the Gravity Finals, top 5 men and top 5 women one run for time on the gravity course.

Established in 1994; Fort Lewis College Cycling is a campus Club team that participates in National Collegiate Cycling events as a Varsity program with the intent at helping make cycling dreams come true.
