Flavors of Louisiana at Capitol Park Museum is a brand-new culinary and cultural festival celebrating the food, music, and community that make Louisiana unique. Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2026 in downtown Baton Rouge for a full day of flavor, fun, and local culture — all in support of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum during the Museum’s 20th Anniversary year.At the center of the event is our “Anything Over Rice” Cook-Off, where professional chefs and amateur teams compete in classic Louisiana dishes like gumbo, beans, stew, and jambalaya. Guests can sample and vote for their favorites in the People’s Choice Award, making you part of the competition.
In addition to the cook-off, enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the day, explore the Louisiana Vendor Marketplace featuring local businesses and artisans, and bring the whole family for interactive activities and experiences designed for all ages.
