Flat Branch Ultra — 50K & 25K | Columbia, Missouri
Run winter fast on Missouri’s iconic Katy Trail and MKT Trail at the Flat Branch Ultra in Columbia, Missouri—home to the nearly 400-year-old Burr Oak.
The USATF-certified 50K is a fast, scenic out-and-back course from Columbia to Rocheport and back, featuring views of the Missouri River, river bluffs, and the chance to spot eagles overhead. The route follows the Katy Trail, the longest developed rail-trail in the United States.
Race Day: Third Saturday in February
50K Start: 8:00 AM
25K Start: 9:00 AM
New in 2027: Flat Branch 25K
The new 25K offers a shorter rail-to-trails option, mainly on the MKT Trail with a small portion on the Katy Trail—perfect for runners looking for a fast winter race experience without the full 50K distance.
25K Launch Special: The first 25 runners to register for the new 25K can use coupon code NewRace for $35 off.
