Plants for Birds with Doug Young of the South Florida Audubon Society
The Audubon Society’s “Plants for Birds” program is a nationwide conservation initiative that encourages people to use native plants to create healthier habitats for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife. Instead of relying only on feeders, the program focuses on rebuilding natural food webs by planting species that birds evolved with in their local ecosystems.

Doug Young – conservationist, environmentalist, advocate, environmental educator, sustainability specialist, event organizer. He is Chief Operating Officer, South Florida Audubon Society and past Board Member, Audubon Florida.
Currently, Doug is COO and Habitat Restoration Consultant with South Florida Audubon Society as well as a part-time Parks Naturalist with the Environmental Management Group, Broward County Parks and Recreation.
Doug is very involved with Coastal Dune Restoration along the Broward shoreline and is on the Board of Adopt-A-Dune.
