At this meeting Paul Kragh of Project Perch will teach the basics of our beloved Florida Burrowing Owl and the owl conservation work of Project Perch
A lively discussion will cover the basic biology and behaviors of the Florida burrowing owl. How did they learn to mimic a rattlesnake? Why is this loveable raptor so cute? A pair of taxidermy owls will be on display.
Paul Kragh is the Director of Burrowing Owl Conservation for Project Perch Inc. This not-for-profit group of volunteers is dedicated to the preservation of the tiny subterranean owl. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has recognized Paul as a registered agent for the Florida burrowing owl.
