Flamenco tangos for beginners, with Ángel Muñoz

An experienced and popular teacher, Ángel will teach 5 hours at three levels, this event is for beginners, no special shoes needed, everybody welcome.

Born in Córdoba, Ángel Muñoz is an award-winning flamenco dancer and choreographer recognized for his extraordinary technical speed, rhythmic precision and breadth of expression. He is also a popular and experienced teacher.
He is most celebrated internationally for his long-standing collaboration with guitarist Paco Peña, as a lead dancer and guest artist for the Paco Peña Flamenco Dance Company for over two decades. His work in the UK has been particularly influential, including:
Productions at Sadler’s Wells in London, such as Voces y Ecos (2002), Flamenco Sin Fronteras (2010), and the critically acclaimed Solera (2022, 2024), where he is described as a "mature and established titan" of the scene.
Critics in the UK have frequently praised his "blazingly fast" footwork and "regal" presence, noting that his turns could "put an ice-skater to shame".
His performances on British stages earned him a nomination for the prestigious National Dance Awards in the UK.
Beyond his work with Peña, Muñoz has toured globally with artists like María Pagés and leads his own company, premiering solo works like Ángel, From Black to White at the London Flamenco Festival.
