Yaelisa will be in the Bay Area for three performances at various venues and will hold one workshop at Ashkenaz on Thursday, July 11 from 1:00-3:00pm. This is her only availability so hopefully a daytime slot works for many! This workshop will focus on the palo of Bulerias both in technique, understanding, marcajes and exploration of improv concepts. Yaelisa is expert at breaking down both material and how to dance and feel comfortable, confident and expressive. All levels are welcome and can learn. Video is allowed and should be used to capture studies. Guitarist Jesse Torre will be accompanying so there will be live music AND cante by Yaelisa. Deadline to reserve is July 3, with a minimum number of students needed to hold the workshop.
