Post 289 will be placing Flags on the Graves of Veterans in multiple Cemeteries. - Brewer's Chapel
- Mallory's Cemetery
- Carmel Cemetery
We will meet at the Thirsty Goat, get a headcount of volunteers, distribute the plan and directions.
Dress appropriately for this event, grass can be wet and slippery in the morning hours. If can been cooler and warm up quite quickly. If it is raining, we will still be doing flags in and understand if some cannot do so. All are fairly level.
All flags are donated by American Legion Post 7 Clarksville, TN
We will place a flag at the headstone of each Veteran while taking a moment to recognize their service. Reading their name’s out loud with a mention of gratitude is one way that makes it more meaningful.
