The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks celebrates Flag Day annually on June 14th. The Elks were the first fraternal organization to require this patriotic observance The Elks adopted a resolution for a nationwide celebration in 1907 and made it mandatory for all Lodges in 1908—decades before it became an official national holiday in 1949.
