Five Points Jazz Roots – A Black History Month Celebration Five Points Jazz Roots returns for its second installment on Saturday, February 21, 2026, transforming the historic Welton Corridor in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood into a vibrant, walkable celebration of Black music, culture, and community. This free, family-friendly, multi-venue event honors Black History Month by spotlighting an array of musicians performing jazz and jazz-rooted music throughout the afternoon and evening.
From intimate café sets to full band performances at neighborhood staples, audiences are invited to experience the deep legacy and living evolution of jazz in the place known as the “Harlem of the West.” Performances will take place across multiple Welton Street venues, encouraging attendees to explore the corridor while enjoying live music, art, and the rich cultural fabric of Five Points.
All shows are free and open to the public, making Five Points Jazz Roots an accessible, community-driven celebration for music lovers of all ages. The event is made possible through the support of Denver Arts & Venues, the Five Points Business Improvement District, and KUVO 89.3 FM, whose continued investment helps uplift Black artists and preserve the cultural legacy of Five Points.
