About this Event
Join the author of Vic Keegan’s Lost London (Vols 1 and 2), to hear how the so-called “Mother of Parliaments” evolved from being a plaything of kings to a pioneering democracy controlling policy and taxation. It was born and bred through turbulent times in old Westminster on Thorney Island before spreading around the English-speaking world. All the buildings are intact or in ruins.
The Onion Garden
The Onion Garden is a not-for-profit green community hub in Westminster, created by Jens Jakobsen to transform an abandoned concrete space into a serene sanctuary for people and nature. Its unlikely urban location offers a calming escape and a shared space for the entire community to enjoy.
