FIU Choirs presents A Day’s Journey: Songs of Sun, Sky, and Shadows

The evening highlights the ethereal sounds of Faure’s "In Paradisum" and "Libera Me" from his Requiem, performed by the Combined Choirs. These pieces set a contemplative tone, evoking a sense of peace and reflection. Then, the FIU University Singers will uplift your spirits with Craig Hella Johnson's "Light of a Clear Blue Morning," the delicate "Erev Shel Shoshanim" by Joseph Hadar, the nostalgic "Only in Sleep" by Eriks Esenvalds, and the lively "Oh Watch the Stars" by Moira Smiley.

The Concert Choir will take you on an emotional journey with a selection of masterpieces including Elaine Hagenberg’s "Awake My Soul," Eric William Barnum’s "Afternoon on a Hill," Brahms’ serene "In Stiller Nacht," and Morten Lauridsen’s radiant "Sure on This Shining Night."
