Adapted from Pat Mora’s beloved late-‘90s children’s book, LCT gives life to this touching tale of change and growth. Tomás and his family move from Texas to Iowa in the 1940s, but the shift to the Midwest leaves him in quite a culture shock. Tomás visits the library, strikes up a friendship with a librarian and embraces a life-long love of learning that leads to a career as a university chancellor.
