About this Event
Marketing with Heart: Join communications specialist and author Anna Caig on this online interactive masterclass to learn key skills for marketing, promoting and selling your books.
The masterclass will help you improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of your promotional activity, as well as provide practical ideas for your book marketing.
Many authors now have to contribute to or manage the marketing and promotion of their books, on top of writing them, as well as finding time for all the other demands and commitments in life. It’s a tall order and can feel overwhelming. This workshop will equip you with an understanding of good, strategic marketing principles to improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of your promotional activity, as well as lots of practical ideas for how to fit your book marketing into a busy life. We’ll also look at ways you can bring creativity and passion into this work, reducing the ‘chore’ factor and transforming it from one more thing on that endless ‘to do’ list, to something you actually enjoy doing. We will look at the following aspects:
● A practical understanding of some strategic marketing principles
● An understanding of author branding
● An understanding of how to select marketing activity based on what will be effective and reach target audiences, and also what will be enjoyable
● Some practical book marketing ideas to take away and try.
This 1hour masterclass includes an engaging talk with slides, a number of exercises and plenty of time for questions.
Testimonials:
Author Lucy Santos says: "Training with Anna is friendly, fun and (above all) incredibly useful."
Michelle Matthews, Author, says: “Anna’s training was really helpful and packed full of useful advice. Her approach is very down-to-earth and she understands how many authors feel (overwhelmed, mystified, and panicked) at the prospect of marketing their work. She understands what goes into writing novels and what kinds of things authors are most likely to need help doing—her training is meaningful and tailored in this way. I’d add that I found the training useful as part of my writing process.”
Anna Caig has worked in communications for 19 years, specialising in media relations and strategic marketing campaigns, and is an experienced and engaging public speaker.
