Join the Parks and Recreation department for a fun morning of fishing with friends at the newly renovated Simon Moon Park on Saturday, September 26 at 9 a.m. This program coincides with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources “Free Fishing Days” program. This event is free to everyone of all skill levels, and no fishing license is needed. Fishing with Friends is a catch and release activity. Bring your friends and family and enjoy some quality time fishing and creating some good fish stories. Together. Poles and accessories may be brought, and while supplies last, we will have a limited number of poles, bait, and supplies for borrow. For first timers, we will have a casting station to practice and master the art of casting before hitting the ponds. Participants are encouraged to bring water, hats, sunscreen, etc. This is a free and open to the public program that is perfect for all ages, but we do kindly ask that you register beforehand.
