This is your chance to create your very own Fish Lantern, as seen in Burn the Curtains recent production of 'The Wild Shore'. A shoal of these gorgeous fish were created by Jane to help guide audiences down through the village of Bucks Mills, creating a a beautiful image of light and shadow as they appeared to swim through the night. Now you can learn to make your very own to take home with you!
Jane Welsh is a professional basket maker based in Mid Devon. She makes, sells and teaches throughout the South West. She is passionate about protecting the knowledge of our traditional rural crafts that are so much a part of our heritage
Her background is in arts and crafts. Having studied art, design and furniture making, worked in traditional timber framing and dabbled in stone masonry and stained glass, she then became hooked on basket making, mainly learning from the much respected Gloucestershire basket maker Sheila Wynter.
Please note due to the historic nature of the building there is no disabled access.
